The pen is designed to be used with disposable needles, which are not included in the pack.1 Speak to your doctor or nurse to ensure you have the correct needles to use. They will also provide you with a special bin (a ‘sharps’ bin) for safe needle disposal.2

Top tips for the safe use of the Zegluxen® pen

Always use a new needle

If you drop your Zegluxen® pen, or damage the needle, it should carefully be replaced. If the pen is damaged, do not try to repair the pen or pull it apart

Avoid needle-stick injuries

Never put the inner needle cap back on the needle, this may result in needle-stick injuries

Do not wash or lubricate the pen

Keep the pen away from dust, dirt and all kinds of liquid

Use within 30 days after first use
