What you should know about using Zegluxen®

What you should know about using Zegluxen®

Before you start taking Zegluxen®, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.1

This is especially important if you:1

  • Have or have had a disease of the pancreas or thyroid
  • Are taking medicines that include sulfonylurea or insulin
  • Are taking medicines that thin the blood (anticoagulants, e.g. warfarin)

Avoid driving or using machines if you experience signs of low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia) while taking Zegluxen®.1

Do not use Zegluxen® if you:¹

Are allergic to Liraglutide

or any of the other ingredients of this medicine

""

Have Type 1 diabetes

(a condition where your body does not produce any insulin)

""

Have diabetic ketoacidosis

(a life-threatening complication of diabetes)

Zegluxen® is not recommended if you:1

""

Are on dialysis

""

Have severe liver disease or heart failure

""

Have severe stomach or gut problems

resulting in delayed stomach emptying (called gastroparesis), or inflammatory bowel disease

""

Are pregnant, breastfeeding

or planning to become pregnant
