How does Zegluxen® work?

Zegluxen® is a medicine known as a glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GLP1-RA), for use in people with Type 2 diabetes.1

It is very similar to a natural hormone called GLP-1 released into the body after eating.2

Zegluxen® helps your body reduce your blood sugar level, but only when your blood sugar is too high. It also slows food passage through your stomach and can help prevent heart disease.3

Please note: Zegluxen® is not a form of insulin and should not be used as a substitute for insulin.3
